Corporate social responsibilityThe Moodie Report is committed to a policy of championing corporate social responsibility. As a result of this policy The Moodie Report donates a significant percentage of profits to a variety of causes. Our particular focus is our official charity Hand in Hand for Haiti, the travel retail project to help the reconstruction of earthquake-ravaged Haiti, which resulted in the opening of a school in Saint Marc in October 2011, a school that, uniquely, will continue to be run and funded by the travel retail community. We also have a major commitment to supporting cancer-related charities. The Foundation, a first for the travel retail media, is registered in Switzerland and maintain its offices at the headquarters of Moodie International S.A., parent company of The Moodie Report. The Foundation was conceptualised by Martin Moodie, who, with his fellow shareholders in Moodie International S.A., have provided substantial start-up funding from personal resources. A Board of Trustees includes Dubai Duty Free Executive Vice Chairman Colm McLoughlin. Other organisations The Moodie Report has supported in recent years include: Alpha Asia Tsunami Appeal Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research Cancer Research UK Cheshire Academy Children With Leukaemia China Duty Free Hope Foundation Fulcrum Challenge Freddie McGuire Trust Hand in Hand for Haiti King Power Foundation Motor Neurone Disease Association MS Society Royal Marsden Charity Seeing is Believing (Dubai Duty Free) Stuart Mangan Trust The Promise (Raven Fox Ball) The Smile Train |
