BAA concludes sale of US airport retail management business
BAA has announced the sale of its US retail management contracts business for
US$50 million to AMU Holdings Inc, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Prospect Capital
Corporation. BAA's US business comprises contracts at Pittsburgh, Boston Logan,

Delta Air Lines prepares to reinvent the dining experience at New York LaGuardia Airport
Travellers using Delta Air Lines' New York LaGuardia Airport terminal are in for a treat. Plenty of treats in fact, as the company rolls out a spectacular, ground-breaking line-up of 13 new food & beverage concepts throughout its main terminal. Delta is working with renowned airport restaurateur OTG Management, which will own and operate each of the new dining establishments. Heathrow, Paris CDG and Hong Kong lead ACI international rankings in 2009
London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Hong Kong International were the
top three airports ranked by international passenger numbers in 2009. That's according to Airports Council International's (ACI) World Airport Traffic Report for the year, just released. The top-ranked airport by total passengers numbers was Atlanta (mainly domestic US), while a remarkable 17 of the 25 fastest growing airports were in China. Read

Global passenger traffic maintains growth momentum in June
Passenger traffic at the world's airports climbed by +8% year-on-year in June, maintaining the strong momentum of recent months, Airports Council International has reported. International passenger growth stood at a healthy +10.8% with domestic traffic growing by +6.1%. First-half results also showed robust growth, with overall traffic up by +5.9%. Read

Retail revenue growth buoys Fraport Group
Fraport Group's Retail & Real Estate division posted a solid +4.3% rise in first-half revenue, to €186 million, the company has reported. European airport traffic makes ‘timid’ recovery in first half, says ACI
Passenger traffic at Europe's airports grew by +2.4% year-on-year in H1 2010, according to figures from Airports Council International Europe. The business continues to make what the organisation calls a "timid recovery" from the economic crisis of 2009. Comparisons with the same period in 2008 reveal a fall of -8.4% in passenger volumes.
