China Duty Free China Duty Free opens top-class retail offer at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport
3 July was an auspicious occasion as the new 96,000sq m international terminal opened at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport. The commercial offer includes two highly ambitious and upscale retail stores run by China Duty Free Group (CDFG) set in the international and domestic lounges. DDF Dubai Duty Free tops US$607 million in powerful first-half showing
Fresh from a recession-busting record year in 2009, Dubai Duty Free has announced a +16% rise in first-half sales to US$607million. WDF WDF celebrates launch of Edinburgh store
Following the completion by BAA of its new security area at Edinburgh Airport, WDF officially launched its World Duty Free store last week. The 6,942sq ft shop is the centrepiece of the newly designed airport facilities and has been relocated to sit immediately opposite the entrance to the Departures lounge. A first for World Duty Free, it also features a shop-in-shop format with the inclusion of a new-look World of Whiskies store. Read

Heinemann Gebr Heinemann takes its new retail identity to Salzburg Airport
Gebr Heinemann has unveiled its Heinemann Duty Free retail brand at the newly expanded and refurbished store in Salzburg Airport. The 415sq m store is the first outside Germany to feature the Heinemann Duty Free identity. A major highlight, says the retailer, is the installation of a new-look 'Regionals' zone for destination items, with a design theme that reflects Salzburg and its surrounding areas. Read

Leading food travel specialist SSP has teamed up with Swedish chef Marcus Samuelsson to open a new Street Food concept at Stockholm Arlanda Airport Terminal 5.
