HDFS sales dip but profits surge in Q1
Hellenic Duty Free Shops’ (HDFS) travel retail business posted €34.9 million in sales in Q1 2010, down by -2.6% year-on-year. International air travel falls by -2.4% in April as Icelandic volcano effect bites
Scheduled international air travel fell by some -2.4% year-on-year in April, according to the latest figures from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Dubai posts strong surge in April traffic
Dubai International Airport posted a +13.9% surge in passenger traffic year-on-year in April despite the impact of the ash cloud from the Icelandic volcano, which affected air traffic worldwide in the month. “To record double-digit growth during a month in which over 500 flights were cancelled is impressive,” said Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths.
