LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the world's leading luxury group, this week posted flat year-on-year first-quarter sales. Selective Retailing, which embraces DFS Group and Miami Cruiseline Services, held its own, while Louis Vuitton put in a notable double-digit growth performance. But watches and jewellery, hit by global de-stocking and exposure to the troubled US market, struggled badly. Read

Sydney Airport Corporation has attracted a powerful line-up of some of the world's most illustrious travel retailers to its ambitiously redeveloped International Terminal (T1), which is due for completion in early 2010. They include incumbent duty free retailer The Nuance Group as well as DFS Group, Valiram and Aelia, the latter making its Australian debut in association with sister company Lagardère Services Asia Pacific. Changi Changi posts -11.1% passenger fall in March
March was another difficult month at Changi Airport as passenger numbers fell by -11.1% year-on-year. April, though benefiting from the later Easter in 2009, may also struggle, as traffic to Thailand is being affected badly by the political unrest there. Read  
AdP Aéroports de Paris international passenger traffic drops by -6.3% in 'Easter-less' March
Aéroports de Paris has reported further declines in passenger traffic, with a -9.8% drop in March compared to the same month a year earlier. However the figures were depressed by Easter falling in April instead of March this year. International traffic decreased by -6.3%. Europe, which makes up over 40% of total traffic, registered a -12.9% drop. Read
