Dufri to unveil power-packed cameras in Cannes – 02/09/08

NETHERLANDS. Dufri International is presenting the new Olympus µ 1060 and Olympus FE-series cameras at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (Stand number: Blue Village A11).
The Olympus µ 1060
The 10 Megapixel Olympus µ 1060 features a 7x optical zoom (37-260mm*) and integrated Dual Image Stabilisation, which is said to eliminate blur caused by camera-shake to keep shots sharp.
In addition, it is equipped with a 7.6cm/3-inch HyperCrystal LCD and advanced technologies – which include Advanced Face Detection Technology, Shadow Adjustment Technology and the new Intelligent Auto Mode.
Perfect Shot Preview lets the user preview various effects on the camera’s LCD. And other important image aspects, such as natural colour reproduction, image noise reduction and faster processing times, are all significantly enhanced by the powerful TruePic III image processor.

Thanks to ample ISO settings, even shots in dimmer environments are possible.
The in-camera help guide is available in 39 languages. Illuminated buttons are said to ease use of the camera in dim environments. Internal memory plus an xD-Picture Card slot – also doubling as a microSD Card slot when used with the included attachment – offers several options to expand storage space. The bundled Olympus Master software allows users to manage and edit photos on their home computer easily.
The new Olympus µ 1060 will be available this month and comes in silver, black or green colours.

Olympus FE series models
The latest 8 Megapixels Olympus FE series cameras feature up to 5x optical zoom. All three models – the FE-370, FE-360 and FE-20 – follow a “one button, one function” design principle, and include a help function and a multilingual menu. The included Olympus Master Software also makes for easy photo handling on the computer. In addition to internal memory, photos can be stored to xD-Picture Card or – thanks to a bundled attachment – on microSD Card.
The FE series will hit the shelves this month.
FE-20
Measuring just 21.5mm in depth, the Olympus FE-20 is equipped with 3x optical zoom and 8 Megapixels. Face Detection Technology captures subjects with optimal focus and exposure settings. And with Digital Image Stabilisation, ISO values of up to 1000 help prevent blur. This model comes with a 6.4cm/2.5-inch LCD and is available in silver or black.

FE-360
The FE-360 offers the same features as the FE-20 – 3x optical zoom and 8 Megapixels – and packages them in a chic metal body. Face Detection Technology is also incorporated, as is Digital Image Stabilisation with up to ISO 1000. A 6.4cm/2.5-inch LCD display frames and reviews shots. The FE-360 comes in four colours: silver, black, blue, and pink.

FE-370
The FE-370 comes with precision 5x zoom lens (36-180mm*) and Dual Image Stabilisation, a feature which combines both mechanical and digital image stabilisation, incorporated in an FE series model for the first time.
In addition, Intelligent Auto Mode can automatically detect a range of common shooting scenes and then adjust settings accordingly. With Advanced Face Detection Technology, the FE-370 can recognise up to 16 distinct faces and select the ideal shooting parameters – and matched with the Smile Shot function, it will automatically take the picture when it detects the subject’s smile.
Like its fellow FE series cameras, its sleek metal body features 8 Megapixels and gives users two choices of colours, black or silver. Shots can be framed and reviewed on the large 6.9cm/2.7-inch. Also included are features such as TruePic III, Perfect Fix and Perfect Shot Preview.
