Coty Prestige offers fragrant fun in the sun with the limitied-edition Harajuku Lovers Sunshine Cuties collection - 06/01/10

INTERNATIONAL. Coty Prestige is poised to update its innovative Harajuku Lovers fragrance quintet from singer Gwen Stefani with a limited-edition Sunshine Cuties collection.
The five fragrances, packaged in cute doll format, were first unveiled in autumn 2008 and subsequently updated for winter 2009 with the limited-edition Snow Bunnies collection. The Harajuku Lovers brand, launched in 2005, also incorporates apparel, fashion accessories, bags and stationery.

The original concept was based around the eclectic street style of the Shibuya, Tokyo area of Harajuku and the four Harajuku Girls, Stefani’s Japanese backing dancers. Now the dolls have been revamped for some summer sun, hence the Sunshine Cuties title.
According to Coty, a “sunshine cutie” is a super cute, sun-loving, beach-bumming doll who would never compromise on fashion for a day at the beach. Accordingly, the dolls sport on-trend bikinis, sunglasses, hair accessories and pedicures.
The fragrance names (G, Love, Lil Angel, Music and Baby) remain the same, but the original juices have been revamped for the summer season.
Each 10ml fragrance doll is presented in a turquoise scallop patterned carton featuring the Harajuku Lovers logo that is distinctive to each girl/scent. Vibrant tropical blooms adorn the outer boxes.

The site is described as an immersive and interactive world that offers users an on-line entertainment experience that connects them to the brand while providing a 'toolkit' of Harajuku on-line cuteness.
