Bvlgari updates Omnia with new Green Jade fragrance - 05/11/08

Bvlgari's latest addition to its Omnia fragrance franchise, Green Jade
ITALY. Bvlgari Parfums unveiled its new feminine fragrance, Omnia Green Jade, at last month’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes. The scent will be launched into domestic and travel retail markets worldwide from February 2009.

This latest Omnia incarnation follows on from the original Omnia, Omnia Améthyste and Omnia Crystalline lines. Described as a symbol of harmony and seduction, green jade “evokes the vivacious elegance of a young, modern woman who seduces in her innocence”, according to Bvlgari. Accordingly, the fragrance is aimed at a younger, more contemporary target consumer.

The juice opens on notes of green mandarin and spring water, leading to a heart of white peony, pear blossom and jasmine. The dry-down features pistachio, white woods and musk.

“I thought of its colours, green with white shadows, of the energy of this millenary gemstone, symbol of the good, the beautiful and the precious,” explained nose Alberto Morillas.

“I have built the scent around a white petal cascade and a vivid freshness, combined with the rare and mystic texture of white wood and exotic musks.”

The flacon is a reinterpretation of its Omnia predecessors, featuring the signature interlocking curves, this time coloured a delicate green.

Omnia Green Jade will be available as a 25ml, 40ml and 65ml edt (priced domestically at around US$36, US$52 and US$64, respectively), a 200ml bath & shower gel, and a 200ml body lotion.

Also on show in Cannes was Bvlgari’s new skincare range, which was previewed at the exhibition last year. The collection is scheduled to make its travel retail debut in selected Asian markets by year-end.

Lastly, Bvlgari presented its new travel sets at the show. The company has updated the product assortment featured, to include its latest novelties. It has also worked to emphasise the brand identity for greater visibility and impact.
