FRANCE. Dior will launch its newest fragrance, Miss Dior Chérie Blooming Bouquet, exclusively on the Asian market in August 2008. It is described as a reincarnation of the successful Miss Dior Chérie edt.

Dior Operational Marketing Director for Travel Retail Alain Cadet commented: “Our Asian customers loved Miss Dior Chérie’s bottle, with the elegant little ribbon, and loved the colour pink. Still, the fragrance was too Western, and not suited to Asian tastes.”

Dior perfumers went back to the drawing board to create what the company defines as “an Asian-friendly interpretation of Miss Dior".

The three main notes of the fragrance are mandarin essence for the head notes, peony for the heart and white musk for the base.

On the make-up front, Dior is launching DiorKiss lip gloss and Diorshow Iconic mascara worldwide in June.

DiorKiss is an ultra-glossy lip product with the benefit of a balm, in 12 shades and different flavours.

Diorshow Iconic mascara, fronted in the print advertising by the Italian actress Monica Bellucci, is a high-definition lash curler mascara with an innovative brush able to replicate oblique lines for maximum spread and curves on lashes.

This August, Dior will also release a limited edition of the Fall Look 2008. Based on the 1930s world of haute couture, the Fall Look 2008 compacts are rich in browns and coppers, although the palette selection for Asia and Japan will be slightly different to suit Asian skins and Asian tastes.
