“In the midst of the celebrations and exciting activities, we have not forgotten the less fortunate and as responsible corporate citizens, we take this opportunity to render some assistance to these homes and we hope that this small contribution will provide some aid to the day to day operations,” said Tuan Syed Ahmad Syed Salim, Chief Executive Officer of Eraman Malaysia
MALAYSIA. The Food Garden at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is to undergo renovations over the next two months to lend the area a new look.

Eraman Malaysia Chief Executive Syed Ahmad Syed Salim said the facility needed revamping seven years after opening.

“Business at the Food Garden has been good with percentage increase in revenue climbing to double-digit figures over the last two years,” he added.

He said more people, including foreign travellers, had been making their way to the Food Garden as they were attracted not only by the quality of the food but also cheaper prices – made possible as a result of reduced rentals.

In conjunction with the seventh Anniversary of Food Garden Eraman Malaysia donated MYR10,000 (US$2,630), divided equally between two charitable organizations, Pertubuhan Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (RACTAR) and Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim Bakti Semantan – Temerloh.

The total contribution was double the amount of last year. Pertubuhan Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (RACTAR) was represented by Cik Wan Yusniza bt Wan Yusoff and Dato’ Hj Abdullah b. Hj Mohamed represented Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim Bakti Semantan.

Over 65 orphan boys and girls from these homes were treated to ‘High Tea’.

“In the midst of the celebrations and exciting activities, we have not forgotten the less fortunate and as responsible corporate citizens, we take this opportunity to render some assistance to these homes and we hope that this small contribution will provide some aid to the day to day operations,” said Syed Ahmad.

Celebrating the 7th Anniversary, the Food Garden which is located at Level 2 of the main terminal building at KLIA had a carnival-like ambience with walkabout clowns, mime magical show, henna tattooist and strollers.

This annual event is part of Eraman Malaysia’s continuous effort to promote the Food Garden and KLIA among the surrounding community as well as travellers.

The Food Garden features a garden-like setting and a relaxing environment.
