UK. British company Hugx has donated a £2,500 diamond-encrusted pet bowl from its new diamond product range to a canine charity.
The Dogs Trust Honours 2008 event, which took place at London’s Guildhall, acknowledged the pets that have made a difference to people in the UK.
The event saw one lucky winner walking away with the debut Hugx Diamond Devotion pet bowl, set with over one carat of diamonds.
The sparkling bowl is part of a new diamond range from Hugx.co.uk. Pet owners can commission Hugx to personalise pet bowls to include the diamonds.
Hugx CEO Jane Grant said: “As Hugx was inspired by Oscar, my own beloved rescue dog, I think it’s a great full circle. Pets give us unconditional love and we wanted to create a pet bowl that was designed specifically for them. The diamonds may create an extra sparkle in a kitchen but pets give their owners a sparkle too.
“[Celebrities] are already purchasing online for this new product and reviews are great,” she added.
In a worthy initiative by Hugx, 50% of the net profit of all future commissions of the Hugx Diamond Range will be donated to the Dogs Trust. In addition, 5% of the net profit of every max or mini Hugx pet bowl sold online on www.hugx.co.uk will benefit the charity.
