GERMANY. Marc O’Polo, the fast-growing premium casualwear brand, is set to open a shop-in-shop at Cairo International Airport's new Terminal 3 in October. The opening, in cooperation with EgyptAir Duty Free Shops, represents Marc O’Polo’s entry into the Middle East market. Aer Rianta International-Middle East is management consultant for EgyptAir Duty Free's business in Egypt, including the new T3.
The brand will start with a 40sq m menswear shop-in-shop as an open retail area. This space will present the Modern Casual menswear fashion line and leather goods from the Marc O’Polo Accessories collection.
“We are glad and excited about our cooperation with Egypt Air Duty Free and are looking forward to a common successful partnership at Cairo T3,” said Marc O’Polo International Travel Retail Manager Toni Hager. “We very much trust in their travel retail experience and competence and they believe in our brand values and products.”
The new shop in Cairo will be Marc O’Polo’s second international travel retail point of sale. Marc O’Polo entered the international travel retail market earlier this year by opening
a 62sq m shop at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3.
In addition, Marc O’Polo operates seven points of sale in its home market of Germany with shops in Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart. The company’s aim is to extend its travel retail performance by opening more stores in 2008 both at home and abroad.
