Munich Airport: Passenger numbers have stabilised, and even rose marginally in October

GERMANY. Munich Airport handled 3.1 million passengers in October, a marginal increase of +0.1% on the same month last year.
International passenger numbers rose by +0.9% to 2.2 million, while domestic traffic fell by -1.8% to 888,910. Air traffic movements in the month were 35,486, down by -7.9% on a year ago.
For the year to date, Munich Airport has handled 27.7 million passengers, a drop of -6.5% on the first ten months of 2008.
Within this, international traffic is down by -6.1% to 19.8 million, with domestic volumes -7.6% lower than last year at 7.7 million passengers.
